If you wish you could share data between your phone and pc as easily as you share data between two phones wirelessly, you are not alone. Suppose you want to copy a video from your phone to your PC but it’s just one video but you still have to plug in your USB to transfer it. What if you could have your phone’s storage access on your computer without any wires? It would simply be great. Isn’t it?

Wi-fi FTP server is an app that lets you do so. With this app, you can turn your phone into a local server and then connect to it using your local wi-fi over File transfer protocol (or FTP). Let’s see how to do it step by step.

Step 1. Download the wi fi ftp server app on your pone from play store

Play Store

Step 2. Connect your phone and pc to the same wi fi network or connect your pc to your phone’s hotspot

Step 3. Open the app on your phone and tap start button

You now have your phone’s storage access on your computer. Open any folder, copy any file to your computer. You can except transfer speeds of upto 10 megabytes per second which is not bad in fact better than what some older generation Pen drives with USB 2.0 standards might provide. You can also copy files from your computer and paste them onto your phone’s storage.
