Oxygen The Luxury These Days…

A colourless, odourless reactive gas, the chemical element of atomic number 8 and the life-supporting component of the air.
In precis “Oxygen”, the luxury of today’s time…

As per studies, an adult human can last 40 days without food, a week without any sleep, three days without water, but only five minutes without oxygen. Yet nothing is more taken for granted than the air we breathe and today the reverse is happening.

Statistically, in one day human being breathes Oxygen equivalent to 3 Oxygen cylinders. Each oxygen cylinder on average costs Rs.1000 so, in a day one uses Oxygen worth Rs.3000 and for full-year 1,095,000 and if we consider an average life span of 60 years; the cost of the oxygen we use become a staggering sum of Rs.65,700,000 and this oxygen is derived free of cost from surrounding altruistic trees.
But we never recognised them as a valuable resource instead used them extravagantly and today the smartest animals of Earth are procuring something available free of cost.

Oxygen is nature’s gift for all and everyone is entitled to receive it even-handed but nowadays it has become an opulent commodity,
A bar in Delhi named “oxy pure” is offering pure oxygen for 15 minutes in various flavours such as lavender, vanilla, peppermint, gardenias, spearmint, lemongrass, cinnamon, orange, cherry and many more and charging Rs.299 to Rs.499
and this arrangement is available in various parts of the world but affordable by some.
The priceless offering of nature has now become a vendible product.

The present scenario is a wake-up call for us, we should be grateful for selfless earth for providing life-sustaining reserves and should take the much-needed actions to safeguard and conserve them.
