The ancients described the adornment of the female form in different jewels, covering the entire body from head to toe. It is a significant number among the Hindus and corresponds to the sixteen phases of the moon’s life, which in turn is connected with a woman’s menstrual cycle.

1) Bindi-
The area between the eyebrows (the sixth Chakra ‘Agna’) is the seat of concealed wisdom. . The ‘Bindi’ between the eyebrows is said to retain energy in the human body and control the various levels of concentration. Bindi is supposed to be the representative of the third mystic eye.
2) Sindoor (Vermilion)-
Sindoor activates the pituitary and the pineal gland, so the body and mind of a married woman can function better. It activates chakras in the forehead, which attracts cosmic and pranic energy.

3) Tika-
Maang Tika is said to control the heat of the body. The Ajna Chakra is activated, which stands for preservation. Hence, this ornament is associated explicitly with women about to undertake the vows of matrimony, uniting with their mate, and holding within herself the potential to perpetuate the new clan’s genealogy.
4) Anjana (Kohl)-
