A gastronome can feel these lines perfectly but in the prevailing circumstances, it is a bit challenging for food lovers to explore a variety of food.

Food is something that delivers a sensation of happiness but in the present scenario, everyone is missing the flavour of street food.

Covid -19 and present health conditions don’t even permit us to gobble those big fat chips packets, cookies, french fries, rolls, candies, ice- cream or any unhealthy stuff.

However, getting rid of such cravings can be a difficult task the best way to avoid the intake of junk food is to replace them with healthier alternatives.

Some of the alternatives of your favourite junk food are-

Try Roasted Sweet Potatoes Instead of French Fries

Sweet potatoes are a rich source of vitamin A which is great for your vision, bones, skin and help strengthen your immune system.
So, instead of fried potatoes just brush some sweet potatoes in olive oil or coconut oil to give that crunchy, crispy texture and add a pinch of salt and pepper to satisfy your taste buds.

Chew Frozen Dry Fruits Instead of Candies

Apart from providing sweetness and little satisfaction, candy does no good to your body. Try frozen dried fruits like apricot, raisins, dates etc. instead, which can satisfy your cravings for sweetness with natural sugars.

Roti pizza instead of pizza

Pizza has been a significant cause of weight gain in all age group, but what is making it unhealthy it is its base. So try roti as a pizza base with chopped veggies as a topping and add some cheese, salt, red chilly and tomato ketchup to add flavour

Replace Ice-Cream with Yogurt

You can make a delicious banana or mango pudding with frozen yoghurt which is rich in calcium and it also improves the digestive system.

Fruit and herb infusions instead of Soft drinks

Soft drinks and soda do no good to your body, apart from increasing the risk of obesity and diabetes.
So try some fruit and herbs infusion, simply chop whatever fruit and herbs you have, throw them in a pitcher or reusable water bottle, and you’ll be sipping on some fruity goodness in just a few hours. 

So don’t suppress your longing for canned food in this lockdown just substitute them with healthier options.
